2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When the website is accessed, the hosting systems process technical request data such as the IP address, date and time, requested page or file, transferred data volume, referrer, browser and operating-system information, and access status.

This processing is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably, investigate technical faults and protect the systems from misuse. Where the GDPR applies, the intended legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interests in secure and stable website operation.

STRATO states that IP addresses or host names in customer-accessible web-server logs are anonymised and that those logs are made available for up to six weeks.

3. Contact by email

If you contact me by email, I process the information you provide, including your email address, message and any related contact or professional information, to respond and manage the correspondence. Where the GDPR applies, the intended legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in responding to professional and personal enquiries.

Correspondence is retained only as long as required for the relevant purpose and any applicable legal retention obligations.

4. Cookies and analytics

This website currently does not use web analytics, advertising trackers or non-essential cookies. It does not embed third-party videos, maps, social-media widgets or externally hosted fonts. Accordingly, no consent-management banner is currently used.

5. LinkedIn

The website contains ordinary links to LinkedIn. No LinkedIn content is embedded and no connection to LinkedIn is initiated by this website merely because you view a page. If you follow a LinkedIn link, the processing is governed by LinkedIn’s own privacy information.

6. Recipients and international processing

Technical website data may be processed by STRATO as hosting provider. Email data may be processed by the providers involved in delivering and storing the correspondence.

I am based in Malaysia. If you contact me, your correspondence may therefore be accessed and handled in Malaysia. Please do not send sensitive or confidential information by unencrypted email.

7. Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent with future effect where processing is based on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.

8. Changes to this notice

This notice will be updated if the website’s services or processing activities change.
